Update Service

If you would like to continue obtaining support after completing a project and productive rollout of blomesystem® applications, it is recommended to conclude a support contract, i.e. software maintenance contract. Software maintenance comprises update and upgrade services and — if required — hotline service.

An update improves the installed software and is delivered as a patch. Updates rarely contain new functions and if they do, these are of no substantial improtance for the program. In order to obtain new, important functions, you have to install an upgrade. New releases are available after release and can be requested.

All fees in terms of a blomesystem® software maintenance contract are charged once a year. Calculation is based on the currently available licenses and current prices according to the price list. A software maintenance contract will be automatically extended for a further period of one year if not cancelled in writing at least 3 (three) months before expiry.

Optionally, a software maintenance contract may also be extended for a defined quota of service days. These service days can be requested at any time within a period of one year. For instance, you may use them for minor extensions, adjustments of reports etc. Unused service days will be transferred to the next year as credit when extending your software maintenance contract.
